Located between lenoir and north wilkesboro in north carolina, ymca camp harrison at herring ridge gives kids ages 6-16 the chance to make life-long memories on over 2,000 acres of land, streams, and trails just 90 miles from charlotte in the mountains of north carolina.
When someone joins us at ymca camp harrison, they can expect to enjoy god’s creation, build relationships and challenge themselves as
“we do something called ‘date night,’ which is where you can drop your kids off for a few hours and go have dinner,” says markofsky. “we do a craft activity with the kids, give them pizza, and either do a story time or a screening of a show for a little wind down before parents pick them up. All of our counselors are trained in cpr and safety. ”.

You can camp in a variety of places, from the backcountry wilderness of a national park to your own backyard. Our guide will help you find a national park campground for you, your family, or group of friends and give you tips on what to expect when you get there. Camping with a car

Scholarships are available for weeklong youth camps; applicants must be age 9-18 and in grades 4 through 12. Applications for summer 2022 will open in fall 2021.
